Michelle L.	History has proven over and over what happens when indigenous people are exploited the way they are trying to do. Enough is enough and it's time to stop repeating the actions that have brought us to the problems we have today. Leave the tribes alone and stop the greed for their lands.

If adopted PEC 215 will signify a massive set back in efforts to secure and maintain the human rights, lands, resources and cultural heritage of the Indigenous peoples and forest dwelling peoples of Brasil. The respect Brasil has secured for its efforts to defend the rights of indigenous peoples and local communities in international negotiations at FAO the Convention on biological Diversity, World Intellectual Property rights Organisation and the World Trade Organization would be irreparable damaged by the adoption of PEC 215. It is not the time to take a step backwards in the task of bringing about full human rights and protection of the environment so that present and future generations can enjoy intercultural justice and equity. The long term well-being of our nations and the planet must not be lost for the short term financial and political benefits that will impoverish our lands our cultures and our descendants futures. This petition is not just about the rights of the Indigenous peoples and forest dwelling peoples of Brasil it is about the rule of law and the commitment of all nations to international human rights, environmental and climate justice. Please think again.
